Geekvape invests several billion yuan to build an intelligent manufacturing industrial park in China’s Greater Bay Area

SHENZHEN, China, Aug. 28, 2021 /PRNewswire/ — Chinese e-cigarette brand Geekvape announced a new investment valued at several billion yuan in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) with the support of the Shenzhen Municipal Government. UAE announces 998 new COVID-19 cases, 1,559 recoveries, 1 death in last 24 hours

ABU DHABI, The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) announced that it conducted 309,312 additional COVID-19 tests over the past 24 hours, using state-of-the-art medical testing equipment.

In a statement, the Ministry stressed its aim to continue expanding the scope of testing nationwide to facilitate the early detection of coronavirus cases and carry out the necessary treatment. As part of its intensified testing campaign, MoHAP announced 998 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of recorded cases in the UAE to 715,394.

According to the Ministry, the infected individuals are from various nationalities, are in a stable condition, and receiving the necessary care.

MoHAP also announced 1 death due to COVID-19 complications, bringing the total number of deaths in the country to 2,036.

The Ministry expressed its sincere condolences to the family of the deceased and wished COVID-19 patients a speedy and full recovery. It called on all members of the society to cooperate with health authorities, adhere to the instructions and physical distance to ensure the health and safety of all.

MoHAP also noted that an additional 1,559 individuals had fully recovered from COVID-19, bringing the total number of recoveries to 700,548.

66,572 doses of COVID-19 vaccine administered during past 24 hours: MoHAP

ABU DHABI, The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) has announced that 66,572 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine were given in the past 24 hours.

The total number of doses provided up to today stands at 18,056,765 with a rate of vaccine distribution of 182.57 doses per 100 people.

This is in line with the Ministry’s plan to provide the COVID-19 vaccine to all members of society and efforts to reach acquired immunity resulting from the vaccination, which will help reduce the number of cases and control the virus.

Emirati women, five decades of active participation and professional excellence in media: Mohammed Jalal Al Rayssi

ABU DHABI, Mohammed Jalal Al Rayssi, Director-General of the Emirates News Agency (WAM), has affirmed that the UAE’s wise leadership has spared no effort in providing all enablers and facilities to empower Emirati women, enhance their status and their role in society, and ensure equal opportunities for them across economic, social and political fields.

In his speech on the occasion of Emirati Women’s Day, which is observed on 28th August, and is being celebrated this year under the theme “Women: Ambitions & Inspiration for Next 50 Years”, Al Rayssi highlighted women’s invaluable contributions to the UAE’s development since its establishment, describing them as “shapers of the future” and key players in the country’s prosperity.
