Martyrs and wounded in occupation bombing on Khan Yunis and northern Gaza

Gaza – Ma’an – Citizens were martyred and injured, this Saturday evening, as the occupation warplanes and artillery bombed various areas in Khan Yunis, Gaza City and its north.

Local sources said that the occupation warplanes carried out numerous raids on separate areas west of the city of Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip, and targeted a group of residents near the Turkish slaughterhouse to the west, which led to the death and injury of dozens of citizens, in conjunction with bombardment carried out by the occupation artillery on large areas south and west of the city. .

She added that the occupation forces bombed large areas in Beit Hanoun and the Qalibu area in northern Gaza, in conjunction with artillery shelling on the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, east of Gaza City, and the southern neighborhoods of the city.

UNRWA: Around 1.7 million people were forced to flee their homes

Amman: The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) said Sunday that more than 1.7 million people have been forced to flee since the outbreak of the war in Gaza.

UNRWA posted on X, “Six months of never-ending. Around 1.7 million people were forced to flee their homes.

“Since the onset of the war, UNRWA facilities have been transformed to provide emergency shelter to thousands of families seeking safety with nowhere to go.”

A UN-backed report had warned of an “expected and imminent” famine in northern Gaza. The number of people in the Palestinian territories facing “catastrophic levels” of hunger has nearly doubled since last December.

The vast majority of Gazans were displaced due to the Israeli war, and most of the healthcare infrastructure in the besieged Strip was destroyed.

Baghdad, Security forces arrested a person who killed his sister 10 hours after he committed the crime in Anbar.

A statement by the Ministry of Interior stated that after information was received by the Fallujah Crime Control Office within the Anbar Governorate Police Command that there had been a murder of a woman by her brother, who fled after committing his crime, a work team was immediately formed and the accused was followed up through technical efforts and the location of the perpetrator was reached and arrested. He will be charged 10 hours after his crime was carried out and he will be detained in accordance with Article 405 of the Civil P.C. He will be referred to the judiciary to receive his just punishment.

Huneiti visits Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Rapid Intervention Brigade

Amman: Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Maj.Gen.Yousef Ahmed Huneiti, on Sunday visited the Command Headquarters of Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Rapid Intervention/High Readiness Brigade.

During the visit, the brigade chief briefed Huneiti about its operational capabilities, progress of training process, future vision, and its tasks and duties, aimed to make this military formation to enjoy the “highest” levels of efficiency and readiness, according to an Army statement.

The visit is part of Jordanian General Command’s keenness to determine readiness of the formations and units of the Jordanian Armed Forces (JAF)- Arab Army in various fields, the statement said.

At the end of the visit, Huneiti praised the brigade’s “distinguished” level of skill, efficiency and professionalism in carrying out duties and its personnel’s “high” morale.

A mother and her four children injured in a fire south of Hilla

Hilla, A woman and her four children were injured in a fire that broke out in their home in Al-Talieah district, south of Hilla, on Sunday evening.

Civil Defense Media Director, Aqeel Abdullah, said, ‘Civil Defense teams were able to extinguish a fire that broke out in a house in the Al-Talieah district, south of Hilla, and rescue five people, including a mother and her four children.’

He added that the wounded were transferred to Al-Hilla Surgical Hospital for treatment, and that the police opened an investigation to find out the causes of the fire.
