Head of the High Council of State (HCS), Mohamed Takala, met with Assistant Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Hussam Zaki, on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum in Turkey.

The meeting discussed international efforts to resolve the impasse of the political process in a way that supports a democratic track in accordance with the outcomes of the political agreement and discussed the role of the League to bring viewpoints closer and reach consensus between all parties away from unilateral initiatives.

Al-Baour and the Chargé d’Affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Libya discuss ways to strengthen relations between the two countries in various fields.


The person in charge of managing the work of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, ‘Al-Taher Al-Baour,’ received at the Ministry’s office in the capital, Tripoli, the Chargé d’Affairs of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China to the State of Libya, Liu Jian.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on its Facebook page on Sunday: ‘The meeting discussed ways to strengthen relations and prospects for improving bilateral cooperation in various fields.’

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs receives a copy of the credentials of the new Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to Libya.


The Director of the Public Protocol Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in the Government of National Unity, ‘Al-Taher Hussein,’ received at the Ministry’s headquarters in Tripoli a copy of the credentials of the new Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to Libya, ‘Dragan Todorovic.’

According to the official page of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Sunday, Hussein expressed his wishes to the Serbian ambassador for success in his new duties, assuring him of the Ministry’s readiness to provide the necessary assistance to perform his work.

The United Nations Development Program and the Italian government sign an agreement to support the High Electoral Commission.


The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) signed with the Italian government today, Sunday, in the presence of the Chairman of the Commission’s Council, ‘Imad Al-Sayeh,’ an agreement to support the (PEOPLE) project, which the United Nations mission is supervising, with the aim of providing technical and advisory support to the High Elections Commission.

According to the High Electoral Commission, the Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Program in Libya, Christopher Laker, signed on behalf of the United Nations Development Program, while the Italian Ambassador, Janduca Alberini, signed on behalf of the Italian government.

On the sidelines of the signing ceremony, the Chairman of the Commission, Imad Al-Sayeh, expressed his appreciation for the cooperation and support initiative provided by the Government of Italy and the United Nations Development Program, as part of the international efforts aimed at supporting the upcoming elections.

The Commission explained that this agreement a
ims to benefit from the support provided by the ‘PEOPLE’ project, which is a project supervised by the United Nations Development Programme, with regard to raising the level of the Commission’s readiness and overcoming difficulties, especially for young people, people with disabilities, and marginalized groups, to support their participation in the electoral process.

Fisheries Authority condemns aggression crime in MochaThe Central Bank announces the closure of the foreign exchange reservation system for personal purposes until next April.

The General Authority for Fisheries in the Red Sea has condemned the crime committed by the American-British aggression coalition by targeting a number of Yemeni fishermen off the coast of Mocha in Taiz province.

In a statement, the Fisheries Authority denounced the crime, which led to the martyrdom of two fishermen and the loss of others as they sought to earn a living by practicing the fishing profession.

The statement stressed that the American-British presence in the Red Sea poses a serious threat to the lives of thousands of Yemeni fishermen, and poses a threat to fish wealth and the marine environment.

It called on the international community to condemn all crimes and violations targeting fishermen.

The Central Bank of Libya announced today the closure of the foreign exchange reservation system for personal purposes until next April.

The bank explained that the quota allocated to all commercial banks has been reserved until the end of March, stressing that the date for opening the foreign currency reservation platform for individuals will be Sunday, March 31st.

It is noteworthy that the Central Bank had announced in early February the launch of the ‘Foreign Currency Reservation Platform for Individuals.’
