Abu Dhabi Youth Council, Presidential Court’s Majalis Abu Dhabi launch joint initiative

ABU DHABI, The Abu Dhabi Youth Council, in cooperation with the Presidential Court’s Majalis Abu Dhabi, has launched the “An Hour With Youth” initiative, to enhance communication with youth in the emirate, through holding regular meetings at the Youth Councils in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Al Dhafra.

The initiative also aims to discover young talent, by hosting youth who have shown distinguished capabilities in areas including digital media, agriculture, volunteering, entrepreneurship and industry, and showcasing their experiences and projects with fellow youth.

The initiative is an opportunity for the youth to share their ideas with the Abu Dhabi Youth Council and its Youth Councils in Al Ain and Al Dhafra. The council is keen to meet with the youth at the Youth Councils of the emirate’s regions, hear their views and support them.

The first sessions of the initiative coincided with the World Youth Skills Day of the Rabdan Council, held under the theme “Talented Youth in Digital Media”, and presented by several journalists, including Saif Al Zahab, Azara Al Serkal and Reham Badr.

Al Serkal, who is the first content creator in energy and sustainability in the Middle East, spotlights national initiatives related to solar energy and sustainability, while Al Zahab is a media communication student, recognised as a social media influencer by Dubai Press Club, who reports about the UAE’s achievements. Meanwhile, Reham, a graduate of Dubai’s New Media Academy, is a content creator who has worked with several entities on developing content for publication on social media platform.

In the second session of the initiative, the Al Dhafra youth council will host several young talents in the field of entrepreneurship, while the third session is to be hosted at the Al Ain youth council featuring young talents specialising in finance.

The Abu Dhabi Youth Council and the Majalis Abu Dhabi called on youth to follow them on social media at @MajalisAbuDhabi, for announcements relating to the sessions.
