The Ministry of Economy and Trade, in the presence of Ministers of Economy and Trade, and Finance, and the general managers of the National Program for Small and Medium Projects and the Export Development Center, honored the winners of the olive oil competitions that were organized in Japan and Norway.
The Minister called for supporting farmers to expand the cultivation of the olive tree, especially local varieties of high productivity and quality, preparing training programs targeting farmers and owners of presses to raise the quality of local production, and forming a work team that would provide all necessary facilities for local companies in foreign participation and find export opportunities for the national industry.
He agreed to establish a training center for oil quality in Gharyan, as well as the need to participate in the International Olive Oil Council.
